Some families just
happen to have hooves.
Horses are fully welcome in any portrait, couples, or family session — front and center, right where they belong.
Bring the horses.
Family photos with the four-legged kind, too.
Whether it's a senior who's grown up on horseback, a couple whose love story includes a barn, or a family that wouldn't feel whole without their herd in the frame — horses belong in your photos just as much as the people who love them.
I've spent enough time around horses to know how to work with them respectfully and patiently — and how to capture a real moment without rushing one. I know which side to approach from, how to wait for soft eyes, and how to let a session breathe so the horse stays calm and the photos stay honest.
Sessions with horses fall under regular portrait, couples, or family pricing — pricing is based on the session type you choose. Let's chat about your setup, your horses, and what you have in mind.
Plan Your SessionA few things worth knowing.
Sessions with horses take a little extra planning — here's what makes them go well.
Location matters.
Most sessions happen at your barn or pasture, but I'm open to other locations with the right space and trailer access. We'll talk through what works.
Plan for extra time.
Horses set their own pace. Sessions usually run a little longer than a typical portrait — built-in time for grooming, settling, and waiting for the moments worth catching.
Bring a handler.
If your horse needs help during the shoot, please bring someone who knows them well. It keeps the session safe and lets you focus on being present in the photos.
